Matrix launch £30m VCT with buyout focus
Matrix Private Equity Partners (MPEP) has launched Matrix Income & Growth VCT, the first since the merger between Matrix and GLE Development Capital in April this year. The £30m VCT will use the generalist unquoted experience and contacts of the MPEP team of nine executives to invest in up to 30 established businesses with a particular focus on management buyouts. Examples of the groups recent investments include T J Brent the South West-based utilities contractor that was recently sold to May Gurney and Holloway White Allom the London-based specialist construction business bought from John Laing Plc 18 months ago.
