Wealth managers predict strong demand for private equity
Research from PricewaterhouseCoopers has found that around 45% of wealth managers offer private equity products currently, whereas 79% are expected to within three years. Falling returns and poor conditions in equity markets over the last have increased demand for alternative asset classes. The ability of many wealth managers to offer private equity products depends on moving to an open product format, or providing banking products that are not managed in house.
