Equinox Capital Management has announced that George MacRitchie will shortly be appointed to its board. MacRitchie has gained 20 years of private equity investment experience with 3i, NatWest Private Equity (now Bridgepoint) and, more recently, nCoTec Ventures. At 3i, he led transactions such as Walker Dickson, First Engineering and ASCO. In 1997, MacRitchie joined NatWest Private Equity as a director where he led transactions such as USC, recently acquired by Tom Hunter, where a £9m turnover retail chain was grown to a group with £100m of turnover. In 2000, he joined nCotec Ventures, a new technology venture capital fund. Here MacRitchie was involved in managing a pan-European fund with investors such as NEC and Misys, as well as institutions such as Société Générale and Commerzbank.
