
North West Equity Fund
John Hardcastle has been promoted to head up the North West Equity Fund (NWEF) team. He has been with NWEF, managed by WM Enterprise, since it launched in 2002. Having trained with KPMG in London, Hardcastle worked for 3i in both Liverpool and Manchester. Immediately prior to joining NWEF John was group finance director for an early-stage healthcare company that 3i backed in an MBO; this business was subsequently floated on AIM. He is now responsible for the NWEF team whose aim is to invest the £35.5m funds raised in 2002.
