Levinson leaves BerchWood to setup Pine Ridge Advisors
Daniel Levinson has left BerchWood to form Pine Ridge Advisors LLC, an advisory firm that assists private equity and alternative asset management firms in marketing their funds. He formed Pine Ridge Advisors in response to a gap in the market, which has not been met by traditional placement agents. A lot of placement agents will work only on a full service basis, where they are raising in excess of $150m. Pine Ridge Advisors is structured to serve players which need help with marketing materials, competitive positioning, fund documents, and select placements. The new group will work with clients on a flat fee basis, and may charge a success fee on the back end, as appropriate. Levinson had been a partner at BerchWood since 2001 and was responsible for fund placement in North America, as well as market strategy and competitive positioning. Prior to BerchWood, he had over 20 years of investment experience and institutional marketing experience at alternative asset management firms
