ABN AMRO Capital has announced two senior promotions within its UK business, with Paul Southwell appointed deputy chief executive and Paul Moxon appointed director. Southwell has 15 years experience in the UK private equity industry and was involved in the recent buyouts of caravan park operators GB Holiday Parks and Park Resorts. He also played a leading role in the buyouts of discount retailer Ethel Austin, healthcare group Accantia and Condor Group, the ferry operator. Southwell has represented ABN AMRO Capital on the boards of Perkins Foods, Accantia and Condor Group. As deputy chief executive, He will take primary responsibility for new investment opportunities in the UK. Moxon has eight years experience in the private equity industry. Since joining ABN AMRO Capital he has led the structuring and co-ordination for the buyouts of Celotex, Gardner Group, Frank Thomas, Puzzler Media and FPS Distribution. Moxon currently represents ABN AMRO Capital on the boards of Celotex, Frank Thomas and Puzzler.
