East Midlands' law practice Freethcartwright has announced the appointment of David West as corporate partner with the firm. He will operate to further develop the firm's corporate finance activity in the East Midlands. West has occupied a number of senior positions in the Midlands, specialising in corporate finance transactional work in respect of business sales, acquisitions and management buyouts, as well as general company and corporate advisory work. He has developed strong links in the Midlands region, having previously worked for a leading Birmingham-based practice and more recently in Derby and Nottingham for Eversheds. He was also corporate partner and senior partner at the Leicester office of Edge Ellison, prior to it being acquired by Hammond Suddards.
