Debevoise & Plimpton

Debevoise & Plimpton has announced that Peter Hockless has joined the firm as a partner, resident in its London office. Hockless is a senior English banking lawyer who practiced for the last 24 years with Allen & Overy, where he was a partner from 1988 until earlier this year. Hockless will lead Debevoise's English law financing practice in London. The London-based financing practice, which now includes five partners and 15 lawyers, focuses on acquisition finance, project finance, restructuring and aircraft leasing. Hockless will also support Debevoise's English law financing practice in Paris, working with Paris partner Eryl Besse, a dual qualified (English and French) financing lawyer who recently joined Debevoise from Linklaters.
