Friends Ivory & Sime Private Equity has appointed Gareth Banks as VCT Fund Manager of the Baronsmead VCTs. Gareth was previously at KPMG, which he joined in 1995 as part of its restructuring team. Mark Advani, director of Friends Ivory & Sime Private Equity, has been promoted to head of new investments and will continue to be based in Birmingham. Shani Zindel, who leads the investment focus on the healthcare and consumer market sectors, has been promoted to director of new investments, based in London. Adam Holloway has been promoted to director of portfolio Management. Mark Turner has been promoted to portfolio director.
