Close Venture Management launches new VCT
Close Venture Management is launching a new VCT. Close Income & Growth VCT Plc is seeking to raise up to £45m with the aim of providing investors with a regular and predictable source of income combined with the prospect of longer-term capital growth. It intends to invest approximately 45% of the net funds raised in lower risk, ungeared, property-based businesses operating in the leisure sector with a particular emphasis on public houses. The balance of the net funds raised will be invested in high-growth businesses across a variety of sectors of the UK economy. These will range from lower-risk, income producing businesses, to higher-risk technology companies. Around 10% of the funds raised will be allocated for spinout companies from Brunel University Enterprises Ltd.
