Carlyle sets up new CLO vehicle
Carlyle group has raised E450m to purchase leveraged loans for a collateralised loan obligation vehicle, making it the first private equity group to make such a move in Europe. Private equity firms in the US have been running CDO funds for some time and Carlyle has launched five funds on the other side of the Atlantic, with some $3bn of assets.
