nCoTec I LP to hold final close in May
nCoTec Ventures, has announced that its nCoTec I LP fund will hold a final close in May of this year. nCoTec I LP, which is currently on Eur50m, is expected to raise an additional Eur50m in order to increase its capital to Eur100m. The fund will focus on investment opportunities in the communications infrastructure sector in Western Europe and will principally consider companies that are in need of early-stage or development capital. To date, nCoTec has invested Eur22m in seven information technology and software companies, the most recent of which was Cedron, a Dutch software data management firm (Benelux…unquoteâ€, December 2001, page 23). The management company expects to make approximately eight investments per year and will look to make a commitment of Eur3-5m over the lifetime of an investment. Tim Horlick (managing partner), George MacRitchie (partner) and Pierre Nadeau (partner) and Andy Halsall are leading the fundraising for nCoTec.
