Further investment boosts RisingStars Growth Fund
Existing investors have made £9.5m available to the RisingStars Growth Fund, which invests in high growth early stage technology companies throughout the North West of England. The fund, which is managed by Lancashire-based Enterprise Ventures, was first launched with £9.5m in 2002 and has since invested in ten companies. Investors include the local authority pension funds of Greater Manchester and Merseyside, the Co-operative Insurance Society, Bank of Scotland Business Banking and the Northwest Development Agency, a regional development organisation.
