]EUROPEAN POLITICIANS have taken a “major step” forward in agreeing the final form of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers’ (AIFM) Directive, according to Belgium’s finance minister.
Didier Reynders, who is also the Belgian deputy prime minister, said the Belgian presidency has tabled a compromise motion on the issue of marketing “passports” for alternative fund managers based outside the EU.
