] CANDOVER INVESTMENTS PLC, the listed trust that owns and invests in Candover Partners, has confirmed it will begin to wind down its operations.

The trust fell into trouble during the financial crisis, after a
number of Candover's investments fared badly in difficult economic conditions. While the GP was able to cope with the impact of the write-downs, the listed LP was hit hard.
