KCP appoints FTI's Excell as investment manager
Key Capital Partners (KCP) has appointed James Excell as an investment manager in its London-based team.
Excell joins from his role as director at FTI Consulting, where he spent more than two years.
While at FTI, he acted as an adviser on due diligence, restructuring, M&A and bid support, as well as post-merger integration planning and execution.
Before joining FTI, Excell spent five years at Grant Thornton, leaving his role as a senior associate on the restructuring team.
In his new role at KCP, he will work on identifying potential assets for the firm's first formal institutional fund, which has an £80m target and held a £55m first close in November 2015.
