Squire Patton Boggs hires Spirit's Stirling

Legal firm Squire Patton Boggs has appointed Spirit Capital’s Colin Stirling as senior business adviser in its Leeds-based private equity team.
In his new role, Stirling will be responsible for co-ordinating Squire Patton Boggs' private equity strategy across regional markets.
Stirling will work on the firm's global corporate practice team and leaves his role as partner at Spirit after 10 years with the firm. He participated in Spirit's 2008 spinout from Aberdeen Asset Managers Private Equity.
Prior to joining Spirit, Stirling spent 11 years at Bridgepoint, leaving his role as director in 2006.
Squire Patton Boggs' recent UK private equity activity has included advising LDC on the MBO of Zyro – a distributor of cycling accessories, components and clothing – as well as advising Maven Capital Partners on the £12m MBO of Westfield Medical, a sterilisation packaging company.
