Investec appoints two to growth & acquisition finance team
Investec has appointed Nicole de Silva (pictured above) and Prasan Desai to its growth and acquisition finance team.
The two new joiners will be based in Investec's London office. They will report to fellow team member James Stirling, who specialises in unsecured lending and mezzanine investment, and heads Investec's emerging companies strategy team.
De Silva and Desai will focus on providing senior debt, mezzanine finance and minority equity across the entire capital structure.
De Silva joins from Royal Bank of Scotland, where she was director of corporate transactions, managing the structuring and execution of leveraged finance transactions across the UK mid-market. She mostly focused on healthcare and commercial real estate portfolios.

Desai joins from European Capital, where he spent five years working on mid-market UK and European sponsor finance and buyout investment opportunities. He worked on new deals, exits and recapitalisations.
With these new appointments, Investec's growth and acquisition finance team will count 24 members in total.
