Campbell Lutyens appoints Westmacott as board member

Placement agent Campbell Lutyens has appointed Sir Peter Westmacott, a former British ambassador in the US, as a member of its advisory board.
Westmacott was most recently the British ambassador in Washington between 2012-2016 and had previously served in the same role for the UK's embassies in France and Turkey. He has also spent time in Iran and Brussels. Campbell Lutyens stressed that Westmacott's experience and networks in the US would be valuable to the firm as it seeks to grow its North American business.
According to a statement, Westmacott has been acquainted with founder John Campbell for 20 years.
Prior to announcing Westmacott's appointment, the firm promoted Edward Hutton to partner in the London office. He joined Campbell Lutyens in 2007 and has responsibility for the firm's GP and LP relationships in the Nordic countries, as well as shared responsibility for investor coverage in the UK.
