Cavendish appoints EY's Hay as partner
Cavendish Corporate Finance has appointed EY’s Alistair Hay as a partner in its debt advisory team.
Hay leaves his role as a director on EY's capital and debt advisory team after just a year with the firm. Prior to joining EY, Hay spent 11 years at RBS and had progressed to director of the corporate structured finance team by the time he left the business in January 2015.
Throughout his career, Hay has advised private equity clients, as well as SMEs and a variety of listed corporates.
In his new role, he will advise owners and companies considering debt facilities as an alternative to divestment, as well as providing guidance on capital structures.
Exponent recently advised handbag retailer Radley on its secondary buyout by Bregal Freshstream from Exponent Private Equity, and investment consultancy Bfinance on its acquisition by Baird Capital.
