British Business Bank supports Active's ECF with £24m
Growth capital investor Active Private Equity has received ТЃ24m towards its latest enterprise capital fund (ECF) from the British Business Bank.
Active ECF will have a total investment capacity of £40m and will target early-stage founder-led companies across the UK.
Active typically invests in the consumer space and has previously backed companies including UK casual dining chains Leon and Honest Burger. Other investments include cycling retailer Evans Cycles and WhoCanFixMyCar.com, an online aggregator of local garages and mechanics.
The GP, which is led by co-founder Spencer Skinner, typically injects £1-15m into companies.
The British Business Bank typically support two-to-three ECFs per year.
