OpCapita hires Coleman and Pouzin
Private equity house OpCapita has appointed John Coleman as an operating partner and Nicholas Pouzin as director.
In his new role, Coleman will participate in the assessment and business planning for the fund's new investments. He was also appointed chairperson of the GP's portfolio company AppelrathCüpper, a German multi-brand women's apparel retailer acquired in July 2016.
Prior to the move, Coleman worked for 10 years as CEO at UK-based fashion retailer House of Fraser. Earlier in his career, he led several retail businesses, including Topshop, Topman and Dorothy Perkins, and was chair of the British kitchen appliances and interior furnishings manufacturer Aga Rangemaster, as well as the travel operator Holidaybreak.
At OpCapita, Pouzin will focus on the firm's origination of investment opportunities. He joined the GP at the beginning of October from the London-based investment banking team of Morgan Stanley, where he worked as vice-president, focusing on origination and execution of M&A, LBOs, IPOs and financing. Prior to that, he worked as manager in the transaction services team at Deloitte with particular focus on buy-side due diligence for mid-cap private equity houses.
