KKR appoints Franks to London team
KKR has appointed former Advent International managing director Timothy Franks as a member in its London office.
In his new role, Franks will oversee the firm's private equity activity in the consumer and retail sectors across Europe, Africa and the Middle East. He will also sit on the European private equity investment committee.
Franks left his role as partner, European committee member and head of the European retail, consumer and leisure team at Advent in July last year, after almost 18 years with the firm. In 2010 he led the launch of the GP's New York office and subsequently oversaw the development of its North American technology team.
Prior to joining Advent, Franks spent two years at Credit Suisse, leaving his position as senior associate in 1999.
