Investec appoints four to fund finance team
Investec has appointed Nick Rusling, Alan Macdonald, Ian Wiese and Oliver Bartholomew to its fund finance team, headed by Simon Hamilton.
The four new recruits will be based in the firm's London office. With these latest additions, the fund finance team, created in 2007, now counts 19 people in total.
Rusling joins from Barclays' debt finance team where he served as director. At Barclays, he worked on providing new financing structures to clients, and notably managed the sales of a debt book to Ares in December 2015.
Macdonald joins Investec fund finance's legal risk team from law firm Debevoise Plimpton, where he worked in the corporate finance team. He has seven years' experience in financial law with particular expertise in leveraged and investment-grade financing.
Wiese is joining the London team from Investec's Johannesburg office, where he was part of the specialised finance team for the last four years. He originally trained as a lawyer and worked for African law firm ENS, and KFML Holdings.
Bartholomew joins from Investec's security and covenant management team, with two years' experience as a financial covenant analyst.
