Total Capital hires Investec's Buttler as partner
Total Capital Partners has appointed Investecтs Mark Buttler as partner in its Leeds office.
Buttler leaves his role as director on the growth and acquisition finance team at Investec after just one year with the firm.
He joins partners Natalie Eastham, Erlendur Magnusson and Paul Brown at Total Capital and will oversee deal origination, with a specific focus on Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Newcastle and Liverpool.
Prior to joining Investec, Buttler spent eight years at Key Capital Partners (KCP), leaving his role as director in its Leeds office in April 2015. He was promoted from investment director at KCP in 2011.
Founded in 2008, Total Capital provides combined equity and debt funding for SMEs and typically writes cheques of £10-30m. Most recently, in October 2015, the firm generated a 1.9x return from the sale of its stake in wall coverings and home decoration products supplier Arthouse to NorthEdge Capital Partners.
