Bowmark promotes Torbet as senior partner Salter departs
Bowmark Capital senior partner Mark Salter will depart the UK-based GP after a decade-and-a-half at the firm, while partner David Torbet joins the firmтs senior management committee.
In addition to the partner-level moves, the GP has hired Simon Kaufman, Alex Paternotte and Nick Hewett at the sub-partner level.
Salter joined Bowmark in September 2001, from a position as investment director at UniCredit Bank Austria, according to his LinkedIn profile. Prior to his two-year stint at UniCredit, Salter had been a manager at PwC for nine years.
David Torbet joined Bowmark in 2006 and joins the GP's senior management committee, which also features Kevin Grassby, Charles Ind, Julian Masters and Tom Shelford. His career before joining Bowmark included a seven-month engagement as a consultant for management consultancy Eden McCallum, two years as a strategy manager for food-service sector supplier Brakes, and three and a half years with strategy consultancy OC&C.
New investment manager Simon Kaufman leaves KPMG for Bowmark, having been an associate director in the big four member's London private equity group for eight years.
Alex Paternotte joins the Bowmark value creation team as a portfolio manager, having previously been an independent strategy and management consultant at several PE-backed companies.
Leaving a position as an associate in Nomura's London-based M&A team, Nick Hewett will join Bowmark as an investment executive.
