Accel promotes Lixandru as partner

Venture capital firm Accel Partners has promoted Luciana Lixandru as a partner in its London office.
Lixandru has been working at Accel as a principal and will continue to focus on investments in the online consumer marketplace sector and software developers in her new role.
In her previous role, Lixandru worked on Accel’s investment in food delivery platform Deliveroo in January 2015, the online auction house Catawiki in September 2014, the mobile second-hand marketplace Wallapop in November 2014 and Selency, an online furniture retailer, in October 2016.
Lixandru joined Accel’s team in 2012 after two years as an investor at Summit Partners. Prior to that, she worked for two years at Morgan Stanley in London and New York as an adviser for technology-focused businesses.
The appointment follows the GP's recent launch of its first Israel-focused vehicle, Accel London V, which held its first and final close on $500m in April 2016, and the hire of Accel’s first Israel-based partner, Nir Blumberger, in June.
