Lyceum appoints Greensmith to north-of-England team
Lyceum Capital has appointed former Montagu Private Equity director Anthony Greensmith to lead its north-of-England deal-making team.
In his new role, Greensmith will be responsible for developing the GP's relationships in the north, with Lyceum aiming to capitalise on future growth opportunity in the region.
According to unquote" data, the north-west and Merseyside region of England accounts for just 7% of Lyceum's activity since its inception 18 years ago. By contrast, investments in London and the south-east account for 46%, while the Midlands accounts for 17%.
Greensmith left Montagu in 2015 after 14 years with the firm, during which he became a board member and oversaw its northern operations. While at the firm, he worked on investments including Norwegian protective clothing company Hansen Protection, which was sold to IK Investment Partners in June 2013.
Prior to joining Montagu, he spent six years as a corporate finance adviser at EY.
