Pemberton hires Lack as COO
European private debt and direct lending asset management firm Pemberton Asset Management has hired Thomas Lack as a new partner and chief operating officer.
Lack joins Pemberton's team from UK wealth management firm Brewin Dolphin, where he worked as COO for almost three years. Prior to that, he was head of operations at private lender Coutts, and previously held the same role at Royal Bank of Scotland.
He worked at Morgan Stanley as an operations manager between 2000-2002, joining from UBS Investment Bank where he had worked since 1993 as a financial controller and subsequently as an operations manager. During his career, Lack focused on investment management and investment banking operations.
Following the current appointment, Pemberton's former COO, Christopher Higgins, will remain in the firm and take a new role as head of strategy, according to a statement.
