SEP appoints Stevens and Rampton to investment team
UK venture capital firm, Scottish Equity Partners (SEP) has appointed David Stevens as a senior adviser and Taylor Rampton as an analyst.
The firm's partner, Jan Rutherford, has also been given responsibilities for investor relations and will head up its London office. Rutherford joined SEP in 2003, leaving her role as vice-president of life sciences at Dresdner Kleinwort Capital.
Prior to joining SEP, Stevens was CEO at IT analytics company Sumerian, which he joined in 2013. He joined the business from ITG, leaving his position as CEO after eight years with the firm. He was also managing director at JP Morgan between 2002-2004 and executive director at Goldman Sachs, where he worked between 1996-2002.
Rampton leaves his position as analyst at BlackRock, where he spent two years, and will be based in SEP's London office.
SEP said in a statement it will make further additions to its investment team over the next 12 months, after having held a final close for the £260m fund SEP V in November 2016.
