
NorthEdge founding partner Wright steps down

NorthEdge Capital founding partner, chief operating officer and head of portfolio Dan Wright is stepping down after eight years with the firm.
Wright is leaving the GP to study for a master's degree in international relations at the University of Manchester. Prior to joining the firm, he had spells working at Arthur Andersen, RBS Mezzanine and Deutsche Morgan Grenfell Private Equity.
Following the departure, NorthEdge has promoted head of Manchester, Jon Pickering, and chief financial officer, Prem Mohan Raj, to partner, while portfolio director Ian Plumb will take over Wright's role as head of portfolio.
Pickering joined the GP from LDC as a director in January 2013 and was promoted to head of Manchester in 2016, while Mohan Raj joined from Livingbridge in July 2016. Plumb joined NorthEdge as portfolio director in 2015.
In addition to the senior hires, NorthEdge has also promoted Phil Frame and Tom Rowley to director in the new business teams in their Manchester and Leeds offices, respectively.
NorthEdge opened a new Birmingham office in October 2016 and recently featured in the unquote" In Profile series.
