Aurelius opens private debt business
Aurelius Investments has launched a private debt business under the name Aurelius Finance, which will be based in London and lend to European companies.
The private lender will target companies across a number of jurisdictions and provide funding across the capital structure including senior, second lien, unitranche and bespoke packages.
The new division is led by Karun Dhir, who joined from direct lending firm Gordon Brothers and has previously held roles at Lloyds, EY and Goldman Sachs.
Dhir is joined by investment director Martyn Cryer, who will be responsible for executing investments and managing the portfolio. Cryer also joined from Gordon Brothers and has previously worked for GE Capital, Burdale and Grant Thornton.
