Lonsdale hires new investment associate

UK-based private equity house Lonsdale Equity Partners has hired Simon Doherty as an investment associate.
Doherty will focus on assisting the investment team in the execution of transactions. He joins from Bluebox Corporate Finance, where he was a senior analyst advising on sales and fundraisings in the lower mid-market.
Lonsdale hired Michael Lock as an investment associate to support the London office's investment team in April, shortly after promoting Ben Evans to partner.
Lonsdale closed its first institutional fund in early 2016, reaching a hard-cap of £110m. The GP had invested on a deal-by-deal basis since inception in 2008, but started raising a closed-ended fund in 2015. According to the GP, the fund is now deployed at around a third.
