Highland promotes former Photobox CEO Laurent to partner

Laurent will be responsible for identifying and investing in fast-growing internet companies and helping them to achieve global scale. He has been working closely with Highland Europe's portfolio companies in an advisory capacity for the past 15 months.

Until July 2016, Laurent was CEO of Index Ventures- and Highland Capital-backed Photobox. The company was sold to Exponent Private Equity and Electra Partners for £400m in October 2015.

Highland is currently investing from two funds totalling €578m, and has invested in 26 companies so far.
