Clearwater hires two for debt advisory team
Corporate finance adviser Clearwater International has hired Deloitte's David Grassby and former Lloyds executive Hertej Rattan as associate directors.
Grassby and Rattan will both join the debt advisory team. They will support clients undertaking acquisitions, growth financing, shareholder events, refinancing and restructurings.
Grassby joins the Manchester team and will be responsible for the North West, whereas Rattan will be based in Birmingham and cover London and the Midlands.
At Deloitte, Grassby was assistant director in the debt advisory team. He was responsible for providing debt advice to mid-market companies undergoing debt raising or refinancing activities.
Rattan was associate director in the acquisition finance origination department at Lloyds. He originated senior loans, mezzanine and high-yield financing to support mostly private-equity-backed buyouts. Prior to joining Lloyds, he worked in assurance and business services for EY.
The debt advisory team now has nine UK-based members and 20 across the international business.
