
Sidley appoints Simpson Thacher's De Vlieger and Lefranc
Law firm Sidley Austin has appointed Simpson Thacher & Bartlett's Wim De Vlieger and Till Lefranc as partners in its London-based private equity team.
The new recruits specialise in cross-border M&A, growth capital investments, infrastructure transactions, high-yield debt offerings, shareholder and management equity arrangements, initial public offerings and secondary public offerings.
De Vlieger leaves his role as counsel at Simpson Thacher after 10 years with the firm. Prior to joining the firm, he spent two years as an associate at Loyens & Loeff.
Meanwhile, Lefranc leaves his role as an associate at Simpson Thacher after nine years with the firm.
The latest appointments bring the total number of Sidley Austin's European-based private-equity-focused partners to 25.
