
Petroleum hires Contego's Sandhu, promotes two
Petroleum Equity has announced the appointment of Lakhbir Sandhu as new CFO and head of portfolio management, along with the promotion of Leo Adami and Enrico Loewenthal.
In his new role, Sandhu will help petroleum to further institutionalise its business. He will lead the company's finance function, as well as managing its portfolio companies.
Sandhu has 16 years of private equity and investment banking experience, and is joining Petroleum from Contego where he worked as CFO. Prior to this, he was a director within the private equity team of Barclays Capital, where he worked alongside one of the founding partners of Petroleum, Daniel Reis.
In addition to this appointment, Petroleum has promoted Adami and Loewenthal to director and vice-president respectively. Adami joined the firm in 2015 and Loewenthal in 2014. Both men previously worked at Barclays with Sandhu and Reis.
