Highland Europe hires Tardy-Joubert as advisory partner
Private equity firm Highland Europe has appointed Jean Tardy-Joubert as advisory partner.
In 2009, Tardy-Joubert joined Qatalyst Partners, where he founded and led the firm's European practice. Prior to this, he was head of European technology investment banking at Merrill Lynch; co-head of the European technology, media and telecoms group for Credit Suisse; and head of the European technology group for Credit Suisse.
Tardy-Joubert has 25 years of investment banking experience, the last 20 of which have been focused on advising technology companies in EMEA. In 2018, he became senior adviser for Qatalyst and will continue to hold this position alongside the new role.
Among other deals, Tardy-Joubert has advised Alcatel on its $7bn acquisition of Newbridge Networks; Alcatel-Lucent on the sale of its Genesys business to a private equity consortium for $1.5bn; Autonomy on its $11.7bn sale to HP; and Virata on its merger with Globespan.
Highland Europe is based in London and Geneva, and its current portfolio includes GetYourGuide, WeTransfer, NewVoiceMedia, Nexthink and Smartly.io.
