Investec hires Markova in acquisition finance team

Investec has appointed Galina Markova within its corporate and acquisition finance team to bolster the management of the firm's European debt platform.
Based in the team's London office, Markova will help drive growth from both the firm's client base and from new strategic initiatives that include tapping into institutional demand for private debt assets.
Established in 2012, Investec's corporate and acquisition finance division comprises 15 team members who are responsible for the origination and structuring of leveraged finance and private debt for mid-market corporates and private equity clients across Europe.
Markova joins from SMBC, where she was an executive director in the European leveraged finance team. Prior to this, she was an executive director at GE Capital's European leveraged finance business.
