Rede hires Amala's Simpson

Placement agent Rede Partners has hired Ian Simpson, formerly managing director of the now defunct Amala Partners.
Simpson will join in the role of senior adviser at the firm's London office, working in an advisory capacity across several departments.
Prior to joining Rede, Simpson was managing partner at Amala, which announced it was no longer accepting new clients last year.
It is Rede's seventh hire this year, most recently following the appointments of Gabrielle Joseph and Mike Camacho.
The firm has advised on the final closes of seven primary funds this year: PAI Europe VII, Alchemy Special Opportunities IV, Ambienta III, Miura Capital III, Verdane Edda and first-time funds for Apiary Capital and Volpi Capital.
