Asante appoints Apponyi as MD

Apponyi will be responsible for supporting Asante’s growth and development across its New York, London and Hong Kong offices.

Prior to joining Asante, Apponyi was managing director of US-based asset manager Z Capital, and he was European head of Jefferies' private placement business prior to that. He has also worked for the placement group of UBS as well as for managers including BerchWood Partners and Brookfield Asset Management.

Asante now employs more than 40 people across its three offices and has placed €15bn across primary, secondary and direct transactions since 2011, according to a statement.
