TDC hires assistant portfolio director ahead of raise
Manchester-headquartered Tosca Debt Capital has hired Polly Tames, formerly of streetwear brand Bench, as assistant portfolio director.
The hire brings the lender's headcount to 10 ahead of the launch of its third debt fund, which it said would bring it closer to its vision of reaching £1bn in assets under management by 2023.
In her new role, Tames will work alongside portfolio director Victoria Daily to manage TDC's growing portfolio.
TDC expects to make additional hires before launching its third fund in January 2019, with a target of £400m.
The firm held a final close on £237.6m for its second fund in January 2018; by that stage it was already 29% deployed across four deals.
TDC provide loans to UK-based SMEs with an average investment size of £15m. It targets a 50-50 split of sponsored to sponsorless deals and will invests across the whole of the UK, although it has a specific focus on the Manchester region, where the manager is based.
