Amadeus Capital appoints two new UK-based partners
Venture capital firm Amadeus Capital Partners has appointed Nick Kingsbury and Volker Hirsch as new partners in the UK.
Kingsbury and Hirsch will join the firm's team of early-stage venture capital investors in London and Manchester, respectively.
Kingsbury's focus will be on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and B2B software businesses, while Hirsch will work on investments in AI & machine learning, human-machine interfaces, enterprise software-as-a-service, autonomous systems, digital health and medical technologies.
Kingsbury started his career by founding software and consultancy companies and, after selling to Staffware in 1996, moved to private equity investor 3i as software and internet sector head, advising on around 80 investments in eight years.
Hirsch is an entrepreneur who has founded and co-founded seven companies to date. Starting out as a corporate lawyer with Luther in Hamburg, he left to join a mobile technology incubator in 2000 and helped launch several services and applications in the mobile space.
Founded in 1997, Amadeus is a venture capital firm headquartered in London that specialises in early-stage and growth capital investments in technology companies.
