Finncap acquires Cavendish Corporate Finance
M&A and fund advisory firm Finncap has agreed to acquire UK mid-market-focused corporate finance house Cavendish Corporate Finance.
Following the merger, the newly consolidated business will look to float on the AIM segment of the London Stock Exchange before the end of 2018.
The acquisition of Cavendish is intended to expand Finncap's services in sell-side M&A, exit planning and debt advisory, as well as private debt and equity fundraising.
The development is the latest in a trend of consolidation in the advisory space. It follows Alantra Partners' £30m acquisition of Catalyst Corporate Finance in October 2017, Apex Group's acquisition of fund administration business Ipes in June 2018, SGG Group's acquisition of fund administration business Augentius in July 2018, and Mercer's acquisition of Pavilion Financial Corporation's investment and alternatives consulting and wealth management divisions in August 2018.
