Marlborough hires Lloyds' Welsh to lead fund finance efforts
Debt advisory firm Marlborough Partners has expanded into the fund finance space with the appointment of Lloyds Bank's Kieran Welsh as director.
In his new role, Welsh will head up Marlborough's new fund finance team, which will provide services related to GPs' private equity and direct lending funds.
Welsh leaves his role as relationship director in the financial sponsors division of Lloyds after 14 years with the company.
The development comes three months after Marlborough hired PwC's Pedro Manen de Sola-Morales as managing director to head up its new Madrid office.
Marlborough has advised on around 250 transactions since its foundation in 2003.
