Pamplona promotes Schwab, Pruellage to co-managing partners
Pamplona Capital Management has promoted Martin Schwab and William Pruellage to co-managing partners, and three others to partner as part of the firm's succession plan.
Following the development, co-founder Alex Knaster will remain in his current role as chairperson and CEO, while co-founder and managing partner John Halsted will move into the roles of president of private equity and chairperson of the investment committee.
Schwab and Pruellage are both promoted from their roles as partner. Schwab was formerly an investment executive at CapVest and left his role in 2004 after four years with the firm. Pruellage joined Pamplona in 2014, leaving his role as co-president of Castle Harlan after 17 years with the business.
Pamplona has also promoted Paul MacDuff, Pekka Puustinen and Russell Gehrett to partner after 10, eight and six years respectively at the firm.
Knaster and Halsted founded Pamplona in 2005 and the GP has since raised five flagship funds in addition to a 2016-vintage $1bn vehicle dedicated to technology, media and telecommunications.
