Aurelius appoints Daneshpay as operations manager
Aurelius Equity Opportunities has appointed Paymon Daneshpay as operations manager in its London-based team.
In his new role, Daneshpay will provide operational support to the firm’s UK-based portfolio companies, including Ideal Shopping Direct, acquired last July from Blackstone.
Prior to joining Aurelius, Daneshpay was a consultant at KPMG, where he led operational improvement projects specialising in process, performance and decision enhancement. Previously, he worked as a senior consultant for Curzon & Company and held manufacturing management positions at HL Display UK and IMI.
The announcement follows the recent appointments of Peter Wood, Daven Chopra and Philip Stoner as principal, operations manager and investment associate respectively, and further bolsters Aurelius’ UK capabilities.
Special situations investor Aurelius completed 10 deals across Europe in 2018, including the acquisitions of Bertram Books and Ideal Shopping Direct in the UK. In addition, the firm moved into a larger office in central London in August and launched Aurelius Finance Company, an alternative lending business that has already delivered debt facilities to several corporate clients in 2018.
