Apiary bolsters team with four appointments
New GP Apiary Capital has strengthened its team with four appointments, including new partner Dan Adler.
Adler was most recently a partner at Lyceum Capital where he spent 15 years, following six years at 3i. He has a particular focus on the TMT and business services sectors, with past investments including M&C Energy, Pinewood-Shepperton Group and AgriBriefing.
Apiary has also hired Thomas Alldred and Chris Heawood as investment managers. The former joins from Exponent Private Equity, having previously spent two years at Lyceum Capital working alongside Adler. Heawood previously spent eight years at Deloitte, most recently as an assistant director in transaction services.
The GP has also appointed Peter Jacobs as senior adviser to support its investment activities in a non-executive capacity. He joins from Primary Capital, where he was a partner for 16 years.
The Apiary team now counts 10 professionals, marking a 66% increase in size since the GP closed its maiden fund on £200m last year. The firm has so far done one deal, backing The Appointment Group, a UK-based provider of travel management services, last July.
