Palamon promotes Arbour to partner
Palamon Capital Partners has promoted Philippe Arbour to partner and made two further senior appointments.
The firm appointed PwC's Aqib Kadar as director of tax and structured finance, and promoted Antony Barker to managing director of investor relations.
Arbour is promoted from his position as associate partner, having joined Palamon in 2013 as managing director of structured finance. Prior to joining, he spent 10 years at Lloyds Banking Group, where he worked on trade finance, specialist credit and leveraged finance. During his time at Lloyds he also undertook a secondment at 3i, where he served as a director on the banking team.
Kadar joins the firm after 13 years at PwC, leaving his role as M&A tax director. During his career at PwC, he worked on structuring and due diligence for private equity firms, infrastructure funds, sovereign wealth funds and listed groups on transactions including acquisitions, disposals, refinancings and reorganisations.

Barker is promoted from the position of director of investor relations and marketing, having rejoined Palamon in 2013 from Campbell Lutyens. He originally left Palamon in 2012 after almost five years with the firm to join DMC partners and subsequently Campbell Lutyens, as an associate on both occasions.
