Mobeus appoints Mead as venture partner
Mobeus Equity Partners has appointed former Mercia Technologies chief investment officer (CIO) Matt Mead as venture partner.
In his new position, Mead will work across VCT investments, with a particular focus on technology-led businesses.
Mead stepped down from his role as CIO at Mercia in April 2018 after three years with the firm in order to pursue a portfolio advisory career. Prior to joining Mercia, he was an investment partner in the 3i technology team and CIO at the National Endowment for Science Technology and the Arts. He has held board positions at companies including Vistorm, Datanomic, Featurespace, Achilles and Science Warehouse.
Mobeus currently has around £430m in assets under management, including its maiden institutionally backed vehicle, Mobeus Equity Partners IV, which held a final close in 2017 on £166m.
